Problems related to bladder control, such as urine leakage at inappropriate times, impact your quality of life. This common problem prevents people of all ages from fully participating in their normal activities. There are 33 million individuals in the United States who have bladder control problems.2,3 According to data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the overall prevalence of urinary incontinence in women was 38 percent. In this type of survey, approximately 17% of men over the age of 60 reported some uncontrolled leakage of urine.
